Archaeological and Geoarchaeological campaigns

Intensive and multidisciplinary survey campaign in the region of Xanthi (East-Macedonia & Thrace). The focus is diachronic but with special interest in the period between the Iron Age and the Roman conquest.

Three turns:

1. 20-31 July: Intensive Archaeological Survey;
2. 1-11 September: Excavation of Trial trenches & Palaeo environmental coring;
3. 14-25 September: Intensive Archaeological Survey & Palaeo environmental coring.
